Talvadya-Sound of Table - Intermediate

Welcome to Talvadya, an immersive intermediate-level tabla course designed for students with a foundational understanding of the instrument. If you've mastered the basics of bols, thekas, and simple taals, this course will take you a step deeper into the expressive and technical world of tabla.

You’ll explore advanced taals like Jhaptaal, Rupak, Ektaal, and Jhampa, along with their variations and practical applications. The course focuses on speed-building techniques, finger precision, and fluid transitions between bols. You'll also study complex compositions such as Tukras, Parans, Relas, and Chakradhar sequences, enhancing both solo performance and accompaniment skills.

A key focus will be on rhythmic improvisation (Layakari), helping you gain the confidence to compose and present your own variations. We’ll also work on hand coordination drills, improving clarity and stamina. This course prepares you for more refined public performances and deeper musical expression through the tabla.
