Sangeet-Shiksha is designed for learners who already have a foundational understanding of Hindustani Classical Music and are ready to take the next step in their musical journey. This intermediate-level course will help you bridge the gap between basic knowledge and advanced performance through focused guidance, regular practice, and detailed training.

You will explore more complex Raagas, understanding their structure, mood, and aesthetic depth through Alaap, Bandish, Taans, and Sargams. Emphasis will be placed on voice modulation, improvisation techniques, and emotional expression, helping you find your unique style while staying rooted in tradition. Alongside melodic exploration, you'll also sharpen your sense of Swara (notes) and Shruti (microtones) for accurate pitch and purity.

The rhythmic side of classical music will be equally emphasized, with in-depth practice of Taalas such as Jhaptal, Rupak, Ektaal, and Teentaal, along with their practical application in vocal performance. You’ll also begin learning how to compose small pieces, understand Layakari, and accompany yourself with basic harmonium or tanpura work. This course is perfect for students aiming to strengthen their technical and expressive abilities in Hindustani classical music.
