This 30-session course introduces students to the rich and intricate world of Hindustani Classical Vocal music. Designed for beginners aged 10 and above, the course focuses on building a strong foundation in the art of classical singing, with a special emphasis on voice culture, basic ragas, and rhythmic patterns (taals).
Students will learn the essential techniques of breath control, voice modulation, and proper pronunciation, enabling them to develop a clear, resonant voice. The course will cover:
Introduction to Hindustani Classical Music: Understanding the theory, and significance of classical music in Indian culture.
Swar (Notes): Learning the seven basic notes and their applications.
Ragas: Introduction to simple ragas, their moods, and their time cycles.
Taals: Basic rhythmic patterns and their importance in classical music.
Paltas: Understanding the importance of basic vocal exercises and patterns.
