Course Content

This beginner-level course introduces you to the core principles of Hindustani classical music. Whether you're new to music or simply new to this tradition, the course builds a strong foundation in sur (pitch), laya (rhythm), and taal (time cycles) through structured vocal and theoretical training.

What You’ll Learn:
You’ll start with basic swaras (notes), the Saptak (scale), and the concept of Aaroh-Avroh (ascending and descending order). Gradually, you’ll explore simple ragas, basic alankars (patterns), and essential taals like Teentaal. Regular riyaz (practice) helps in developing voice control, pitch accuracy, and confidence.

Outcome:
By the end of this course, you will be able to sing basic compositions with proper pitch and rhythm. You’ll also gain a deeper appreciation for the structure and spiritual depth of Indian classical music, preparing you for intermediate-level training.
