Piano Pathways: Beginner Level is a fun, engaging, and comprehensive introduction to playing the piano. Week 1: Getting to Know the Piano

• Piano layout (keys, octaves)
• Finger numbers
• Posture & hand position
• Simple finger exercises

Week 2: Basic Rhythm & Notes

• Whole, half, quarter notes
• Introduction to musical staff
• Playing basic rhythms on black keys

Week 3: Right Hand Melodies

• Notes on the treble clef (Middle C position)
• Simple right-hand melodies

Week 4: Left Hand Basics

• Notes on the bass clef
• Easy left-hand accompaniment patterns

Week 5: Playing with Both Hands

• Coordinating hands
• Simple songs using both hands (C position)

Week 6: Dynamics & Articulation

• Playing with expression (loud/soft, staccato/legato)
• Practice songs with dynamic contrast

Week 7: Introduction to Chords

• C major, G7, F major chords
• Simple chord progressions

Week 8: Performance Week

• Review and polish selected songs
