Basic Course

In this Basic course, students will deepen their understanding of how basic shapes serve as the foundation for complex drawings. They will learn to observe real-life objects and deconstruct them into underlying shapes like cylinders, spheres, cubes, and cones—a crucial technique used by professional artists and illustrators.

The course focuses on enhancing spatial awareness, perspective, and proportion. Students will practice constructive drawing, where they build complex figures such as human anatomy, animals, vehicles, and architectural structures starting from basic shapes. Special emphasis will be placed on dynamic forms, foreshortening, and rotating objects in space to help students visualize in 3D.

Advanced shading techniques will be taught to convert these shapes into realistic forms using light, shadow, and texture. Students will explore gesture drawing, figure construction, and composition using shape logic. The course will also introduce digital drawing tools where applicable, enabling students to apply these skills in animation, character design, and product illustration.

By the end of this course, students will be able to confidently construct and render complex subjects with accuracy and creativity, building a strong portfolio for professional or academic use.
